Are you currently living outside the East Texas area but interested in receiving medical care here?

At Zeid Women’s Health Center we welcome all patients. The Services page on our
website provides a complete listing of the obstetrical and gynecological care we offer. Below you will find further
details about prenatal care and delivery of your baby, including costs.  Deliveries take place at local hospitals.

In order to ensure the safety and health of mom and baby, we need you to be aware
of the following things:

  • You must be in Longview at least 3 weeks prior to your due date.
  • We will need all your records and labs as soon as possible.
  • Once you have your arrival date, contact us to schedule your first appointment.
  • A non-refundable $150.00 enrollment fee is due in order for us to review your medical records and schedule an appointment three weeks prior to your first appointment. You may call our office and pay by credit card.
  • We will perform an ultrasound while you are here to make sure all is well.
  • You will need to stay in the area at least three weeks after delivery for follow-up care as well.
  • Please plan to spend 1-2 days in the hospital for after a vaginal delivery and 3-4 days for c-section.
  • You must pay your bill with ZWHC and the delivery hospital in full upon arrival of your first visit at our office.

Medical Costs

Zeid WHC charge for vaginal delivery – $2,800.00
(this includes all your OB visits before delivery, ultrasound and labs if needed, and one post-partum visit)
Zeid WHC charge for cesarean delivery – $3,300.00 (includes $200 assistant surgeon fee)
(this includes all your OB visits before delivery, ultrasound and labs if needed, and one post-partum visit)
Hospital charges will be paid separately, and vary depending on the facility.
Up-front pediatrician charge for care of baby after delivery in hospital | plus one office visit – $400.00
Zeid WHC charge for circumcision, if desired – $300.00

*ER visits are not included

Labs Needed

This is the list of needed labs. You will need to forward results as soon as you have them:

  • Initial Labs
  • • HIV
  • • CBC
  • • RPR
  • • Hepatitis B
  • • Blood Type (very important)
  • • Antibody Screen
  • 2nd Trimester
  • • Initial Glucose
  • • 3-hour Glucose if initial failed
  • • HGB
  • 3rd Trimester
  • • GBS
  • • HIV
  • • RPR

**Additional labs may be required for high risk pregnancies


Birth Certificate

The hospital handles all of the birth certificate paperwork for you.
It generally takes 2-3 weeks for the certificate to be available for pick up at the Gregg County Courthouse (101 Methvin • Longview, Texas 75601).
You can call the records clerk at (903) 236-8430 or (903) 237-2637 to check on the status.

Once you have the birth certificate, you must go in person with your baby to apply for the baby’s passport.
